It’s not been a thoroughly eventful week so far, but sometimes that is a good thing. Some weeks all you really need is the status quo to give you that boost you need to dream up new ways to shine. Here’s what I’ve been dreaming of this week.

    -Yummy Indian food
Andrew and I recently discovered an Indian restaurant that delivers to our house and we’re kind of hooked now. Indian food does wreak havoc with my Crohn’s, but sometimes I let myself indulge because it’s so damn yummy. Garlic nan dipped in creamy tikka masala is what ambrosia must taste like.

    -New projects
I have a couple of ideas swirling around in my head, a bit like wine, and becoming tastier the more they aerate. More later on this, perhaps ;)

    -Paris!
My lovely friend Elaine and I have booked ourselves a trip to Paris in May! We’ll be spending three days in Disneyland and three in Paris. I can’t wait to wander around Montmartre, eat crepes by the Eiffel Tower and marvel at Notre Dame cathedral. I want to sip on wine and eat croissants and croque monsieurs and speak rusty French with the locals. I’m also excited about all the rollercoasters, posing for photos with Minnie Mouse, munching on candy floss… Expect tons of photos, of course!

    -Sushi tonight
The gorgeous Jamie and I are meeting for sushi today. I love the fact that I’m having sushi at least once a week now. Super healthy, super yummy. I could eat it every single day. Happy to have reconnected with Jamie too!

    -Good books
In a week, I finished David Sedaris’ Dress your Family in Corduroy and Denim, finished Anne Donoghue’s Room, and started Erin McKean’s The Secret Lives of Dresses. Mmmm – brain food!

    Red feets, red wheels

This week has been pretty decent so far! Spring has really spring in Malta and it’s that glorious part of the year where the sun is shining but there’s still an amazing, cool breeze and the temperature is still in the 20s. We have a grand total of two or three weeks of spring weather in Malta before it turns to heat from hell, so I absolutely want to make the most of it before I have to live in air conditioned rooms for five months.

Here’s what’s been wonderful this week:

-Asking Elaine if she wanted to go abroad, on a whim, and her saying yes enthusiastically. We’ll be going to Paris! More about that in the coming weeks.

    -Starting yoga this evening.

-Looklet, which is absolutely and ridiculously addictive.

    -Girls’ night last night <3

-Meeting the girls from dance for drinks last Tuesday.

-AMAZING fresh goat’s cheese salad at Jubilee. Om nom!

-Delicious homemade pasta and homemade pesto at Profumo Di… on Sunday.

-Taking photos of Mdina with Andrew on Sunday afternoon.

-Finally getting round to watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (loved).

-Bought Hannah her birthday present. Can’t wait till she gets it :-)

-Might be heading up to London for a couple of days with my sister in a few weeks’ time.

-Meeting amazing new people with incredible stories as part of my job. Look for my upcoming piece in the next issue of M Magazine.

And you? What’s been making your week wonderful? Make sure to leave a comment!

I join the chuck love train... (+3)

I’ve really not been having the best of weeks at all, so I figure I should really do TILT today to focus on the good stuff.

    - Watching more films lately. This last week, Andrew and I have watched The Social Network, Despicable Me, The Kids are All Right and The King’s Speech. Conclusion? 2010 was an awesome year for films.

-Moroccan night at Miriam’s yesterday. She set her living room up to look like a bedouin camp, with blankets and cushions everywhere (<3). We all brought a dish of Moroccan food to share. I made beef, mint and chilli meatballs in a tomato, parsley and fresh garlic sauce. Om nom, indeed. Everything was absolutely delicious. My friends are awesome in the kitchen.

-Which reminds me, I’ve been making lots of new friends recently as part of my mission to be more social. It’s worked. Been meeting lots of wonderful new people.

-And staying in touch with old friends: I’ll be meeting a friend of mine for sushi tonight, which is another thing I like on a Thursday, of course.

-Skype conversations with Hannah. It’s almost like her being in the same room, despite the fact that she’s thousands of miles away.

-Making plans for the not so distant future.

-The last few cold days before summer hits completely (do not want). Am making the most of my thermal bed sheets while I still can!

-My new skinny jeans. Who would have thought, right? I promised myself some years ago that I’d never wear skinny jeans, but I bought a pair and love them now.
