Home for Christmas

I’ve been in Malta for the past week to visit my family and friends and celebrate Christmas with them. It’s strange being “on holiday” in Malta, a place which I called home (however reluctantly) for 24 years. I’ve been taking plenty of photos so I thought I’d share what my Christmas has looked like here. I hope your Christmas has been merry!

Suitcase all packed and ready to go. What I thought were the ‘essentials’ for my two-week stay in Malta actually amounted to 14.8kg – 0.2kg away from Ryanair’s 15kg limit. Grrr.

Dinner: Torta tar-Ricotta from Maxokk. This is basically a pie made out of bread dough and stuffed with ricotta. It’s really wonderful.

Andrew took me out for a lovely dinner at San Giuliano in St Julian’s.

Doing some last-minute shopping with Andrew in Sliema.

While we were having breakfast at the mall…
