The best laid plans

Yesterday, I met my uncle for what was meant to be a light, healthy lunch.

Then this happened:

 

 

 

In case you’re wondering, that is a char-grilled chicken breast with mixed salad leaves, roasted red peppers, grilled onions, Monterey Jack cheese and BBQ sauce on a soft burger bun. We had that at this Build Your Own Burger place called The Counter.

 

 

And THAT is a slice of delicious carrot cake slathered in cream and served with strawberries, which we had at The Queen of Tarts, in Temple Bar.
